Isaiah 66:3,4 They have chosen their own ways, and
their souls delight in their abominations; so
I also will choose
harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For
when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did
evil in my sight and chose what displeases me."

People have a choice - your own way, or God's way. God's choice for your
life is dependent upon your choice. You want to know your future? What
are you fears? Well if you chose your own ways those are quite likely your
future. God brings upon us the things which we dread, and harsh treatment
is the fate of the rebellious. What can you do to prevent this? Listen
to God and respond. Respond in prayer. Respond in action.
"Now consider this, you who forget God,
Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver. He who
offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his
way aright I shall show the salvation of God." Ps 50:22,23
