he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited

Among scientists today there is a principle known as the "Anthropic Principle". This states mainly that it appears that the earth is a naturally fit habitat for life. Cosmologist have even gone further inferring that the natural laws of the universe from electrons to supernovae are conducive to life.
