JESUS ON PRAYER

Matt 5:44 Pray for those who dispitefully use and persecute you.

Matt 6:5-13 Avoid being motivated by man-pleasing by praying in secret. Don't believe that God will hear me because of my many words. Don't keep repeating the same thing vainly.

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed by Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our depts, as we forgive our deptors. And do not lead us into temptation. But deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

Matt 9:38 For laborers sent to the harvest.

Matt 14:23 He went up on a mountain by Himself to pray. And when evening had come, He was alone there.

Matt 21:13 My house shall be called a house of prayer

Matt 21:22 Everything you ask in prayer believing, you shall receive.

Matt 26:36-42 "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."

"O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done."

Mk 1:35 In the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Mk 6:46 He departed to the mountain to pray.

Mk 11:24 When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mk 11:25 Forgive, or God won't forgive you.

Mk 13:33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

Mk 14:36 "Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will."

Mk 14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation."

Lk 3:21 Jesus was baptized, and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.

Lk 5:15,16 Then the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. So He often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

Lk 6:12 He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Lk 6:28 Pray for those who spitefully use you.

Lk 9:18 And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"

Lk 9:28,29 And it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountains to pray. And as He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.

Lk 10:2 Laborers sent to the harvest

Lk 11:1-4 And it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." So He said to them, "When you pray, say:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

Lk 21:34-36 "But take heed to yourselves, lest you hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life... Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Lk 22:40 Pray that you may not enter into temptation.

Then an angel appeared to Him form heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation."

Jn 17 Christ prays for himself: Glorify me that I may glorify you. Christ prays for his disciples:

Keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as we are one.

I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

Sanctify (Set them apart) by Your truth. Your Word is truth.

Christ prays for all believers:

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory.

So God granted him what he requested.
